Letter to a Fellow Canadian

My name is Kate and I’m a Canadian trapped on the West Coast of the US in Oregon.  (Yes, I will totally cop to playing on our mutually held, overdeveloped sense of nationalism… “Sorry.”)

Earlier this year I wrote and recorded a holiday song called ‘Canadian Christmas’ - which, shockingly, is about Canadian stuff in December.

May I ask you to please listen to it?

In my perfect world, you’ll be struck by its simple and catchy ‘je nes se quois’ and casually mention to someone at the pinnacle of the music industry that this person needs to be heard! Or shout “put this shit in a commercial/movie/toilet paper jingle!” (I’m not picky, just spitballing.)

This is a bucket list item (the song/album) and this is me being brave (the letter.)
